The VULKAN company has been owned solely by the Hackforth family since 1889. Through internalisation and diversification into other business sectors, the VULKAN Group today consists of four divisions that, from a technical standpoint, are largely independent, as well as six international production locations and 20 subsidiaries. Headquartered in Herne (Germany).

VULKAN Drive Tech is the group division specialising in power transmission solutions for the oil and gas, mining and construction iron and steel, bulk handling material, sugar and ethanol, pulp and paper, and energy sectors.

VULKAN Drive Tech products and services to the oil and gas sector are applicable onshore and offshore, in oil platforms and vessels in general, such as work boats, oil tankers, FPSOs, PTO’S e PTIs, generators, compressors, pumps, and mechanical and diesel-electric probes.
